MY SERVICE HISTORY
Called up for compulsory National Service Training at 18 years
of age in 1955. Obtained deferment for 12 months because of study commitments.
January 1957 - 1st intake for the year. 12 National Service
Battalion, B Company, 10 Platoon, Infantry, Holsworthy Army Barracks, Sydney.
April 1957 - completed 3 months NS training, discharged as a
Corporal.
April 1957 - March 1959 - Citizens Military Forces,
Canberra, Werriwa Regiment, 3 Battalion, Infantry (Sergeant).
1959 - 1964, Royal Australian Infantry Reserve List.
